(KSL News) Crews work to contain a house fire in Roy.
Authorities say the homeowner awoke around 1:00 this morning to find flames coming from the furnace room in his basement.
He and the rest of his family were able to get out safely as the blaze consumed the home.
Firefighters say heavy smoke and flames were coming from the front door when they arrived on scene. They were able to put the blaze out quickly.
Authorities believe the home may be a total loss.
One firefighter received minor injuries, but is expected to recover. The cause, is under investigation.
