SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah and China are quickly becoming stronger business partners.

"China is a very important part of success in the world," Salt Lake Chamber President Lane Beattie said.

He says China is now Utah's fourth largest trade partner. Exports have grown 70 percent in just three years, mostly in mining.

The chamber took 135 people on a 10 day trip to China. They just missed seeing Ambassador Jon Huntsman, Jr., but Beattie says the Chinese people know Huntsman is from Utah.

"It's just one more way that people will recognize the impact Utah has on the world economy," he said.

Beattie is already planning the next trip.
