(KSL News) -- Search and rescue crews are up in Little Cottonwood Canyon right now to rescue an injured climber.
Witnesses called for help after the man fell in what's called Coal Pit Gulch -- which is a mile or two from the mouth of the canyon.

The Sheriff's spokesperson says the hiker is in stable condition with a broken arm, cuts and bruises.
Rescuers are doing a stretcher evacuation now -- a highly technical rescue in steep terrain that may take several hours.
