Sam Penrod ReportingA motorcyclist is in critical condition tonight after being hit by a car in the East Millcreek area, and the suspect is on the run.

The victim is a 59-year old man from the Millcreek area. He was riding his motorcycle at 33rd south 27th east when another car came through and struck him, throwing him off the motorcycle. The car than dragged the motorcycle down the street for nearly a block.
The victim was apparently turning into the intersection when he was hit by the car. He suffered critical injuries and was life-flighted to LDS Hospital. He was not wearing a helmet.

The car pushed the motorcycle down the street nearly a block before crashing. A witness told KSL a man and woman got out of the car and ran. A woman was caught, the man is still on the run.
Police say they are familiar with the suspects; both have some sort of history with police. For now though, there is no description given of the suspect.
The westbound lanes of 3300 South were closed while investigators sort out what caused the accident.
