(KSL News) -- There is a hung jury in the 1996 murder case of a Woods Cross Motel clerk.
After 18 hours of deliberating, jurors could not agree on a verdict for Elliott Rashad Harper.
The judge has called for a new trial and will hold a review hearing on Tuesday.
Harper is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Matthew Whicker eight years ago.
