(KSL News) -- Federal investigators have arrived to investigate what started Friday's six alarm blaze at a South Salt Lake paper plant.
The National Response Team is federally funded and made up of ATF agents, along with chemists and others well-versed in this type of fire. They have not taken a tour yet because water still covers most of what could be the evidence.
In fact, fire crews continued to pour water on it again today.
Chief Steve Foote, South Salt Lake City Fire Dept.: "This thing is going to take days to get put out. The only way we're finally going to get this thing extinguished is when we get the okay from investigators to tear those big bales of paper down and open them up with an excavator."
Investigators say right now they do consider the fire suspicious, mainly because of its magnitude and how fast it progressed.
