ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- The Jones Fire burning in Washington County is about 10 percent contained.

Bureau of Land Management officials say firefighters were able to get the upper hand on the 700 acre fire yesterday because of some rain that moved into the area.

The fire was sparked Saturday by lightning.

B-L-M officials say erratic winds hampered firefighters' efforts over the weekend.

The Oak Grove Campground nearby remains closed. Fire officials hope to contain the fire by Wednesday.
