(KSL News) -- Search and rescue crews, along with a state helicopter, are scouring the High Uintas, searching for a missing boy scout.
The 12-year old boy and his troop were in the Pass Lake area, just north of Mirror Lake, in Summit County. Sheriff's deputies say he disappeared during a hike this morning around 8 o'clock.
Sheriff's deputies say the area is narrow, steep and surrounded by five small lakes.
They've found footprints around this area that they're hoping will lead to the boy. Tonight they scanned the area from the sky with a night vision helicopter.
