(KSL News) -- Police in Layton are trying to hunt down a man they believe tried to lure young children away twice.

Both incidents happened yesterday, ten minutes and five miles apart. Based on the suspect's description and the timing, authorities think the same man struck twice.

First, a man lured a six-year-old girl behind an apartment complex, grabbed her and exposed himself. She ran away and told her mother what happened. Her father is outraged.

Girl's Father: "If they're gonna perform crimes like that on children...that's the sickest, heinous crime."

Nearby and only moments later, two children, ages three and four, say a man approached them and said he would spank them if they didn't come with him. Those children got away and told their babysitter.
