SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- There was a slight decrease in the number of driving under the influence arrests last year.

The state's annual D-U-I report was given to lawmakers yesterday.

There were 14-thouand-461 drunken-driving arrests in fiscal 2003-2004, which is just a slight drop from the year before.

The legal limit for blood alcohol in Utah is point-zero-eight. But the average blood-alcohol content of those arrested was point-one-four percent.

Of those arrested, more than 200 were charged as second offenders.

Fourteen were recorded as five-time offenders, while two were on their tenth offense.

Eighty percent of the offenders were male, and the majority were between 25 and 36 years of age.
