SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Salt Lake County elections officials say Monday is a deadline for residents to register to vote by mail for municipal elections.
Also on the Nov. 3 ballot are proposed bond issues for Granite School District and for a new police headquarters in Salt Lake City.
County clerk Sherrie Swensen says the easiest way for voters to register is by mail.
Swensen says that voters who miss Monday's deadline to postmark an application by mail will have to appear in person at her office by Oct. 19 to register in time for the November election.
Mail applications are available for downloading from the county clerk's office, or voters can pick them up at post offices and libraries throughout the county.
