Shelley Osterloh ReportingSome of the best cyclists in the nation are in Utah. About 20 members of the USA Cycling National Team are training and testing at TOSH, The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital in Murray.
TOSH's 52-thousand square foot facility provides the team with its first opportunity to all train under the same roof. Another big reason the team is here: the recent addition of some of the best sports performance experts in the world: Dr. Eric Heiden and Dr. Max Testa.

Spencer Beamer, Cyclist USA Cycling National Team: "They have an excellent facility. I've never seen anything like this and they've got the best staff I have ever seen."
This time of year cyclists from around the world begin training for the next season. These athletes subject themselves to tests and evaluations to help them prepare.
Brent Bookwalter, Cyclist USA Cycling National Team: "You know at a high level like this that we're racing at, um, you need every small advantage you can get."
Spencer Beamer: "this is beneficial because it sets a baseline to know what levels you're at and this helps tell you where you can get to and how you can improve and how you set up your training."
The testing and training will be led by Dr. Max Testa, one of the sport's top performance experts and five time Olympic gold medal winner, and former cyclist Dr. Eric Heiden.
Dr. Eric Heiden, TOSH Director of Sports Medicine: "This is the cream of the crop in the united states and the future of usa cycling."
And part of that crop is Brent Bookwalter who was the 2006 under 23 rider of the year.

Brent Bookwalter: "I think any amount of success and leading any pack whether it's the local pack or the pack at the Tour de France it really doesn't mean anything unless you're doing it honestly and you're doing it off hard work."
Steve Johnson, CEO of USA Cycling, says TOSH is a facility providing these young athletes with everything they need to succeed in the sport.
Steve Johnson, CEO of USA Cycling: "Most of these athletes will make a living as professionals as well, so really the opportunities in the sport have increased dramatically."
Many recreational and professional athletes have used TOSH programs to improve their athletic ability, including athletes from the NFL, NHL, NBA, Major League Baseball, and U.S. Olympic teams.
