EPHRAIM (AP) -- Police have arrested two Snow College students allegedly involved in a counterfeiting scheme.

A 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old man -- both from Hawaii -- were taken into custody. The two were arrested after a college cashier questioned some bills they wanted to exchange.

In a search of student dorms, police reportedly found 350 dollars in forged money.

Authorities say they believe the scam was in its infancy, but probably wouldn't have gotten too far anyway. Police say the bills were the wrong color and weight -- and would hardly pass cursory inspection.
