LEHI -- A new golf tournament will give amateurs the chance to participate in the Champions Challenge Pro-Am at Thanksgiving Point.
The Champions Cup, to be played on Saturday, Oct. 10, will pit amateur teams of two against each other. Teams will be handicapped based on their UGA index, or a letter from a PGA professional.
The winners will be paired with a professional or celebrity playing in this year's Champions Challenge Pro-Am on Monday, Oct. 12.
The Champions Challenge features current PGA and LPGA touring professionals and golf's legends.
Champions Cup participants will have the opportunity to win multiple prizes throughout the day and four general admission tickets to the Champions Challenge.
Thanksgiving Point plans to make the Champions Cup an annual event.
The price to play is $150 per team of two golfers. Only the first 80 teams to register will compete. For more information call 801-768-7401 or visit championschallengegolf.com.
