SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Police have arrested a 65-year-old landlord for allegedly holding his tenants at gunpoint because he believed they were doing drugs.
Lt. Sandra Urry said the man summoned a tenant to his house Friday night, pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him.
The landlord then allegedly called a former tenant of the house, requesting she pick up her things. When the woman and a friend arrived at the landlord's house, they also were threatened and held at gunpoint, Urry said.
The landlord holstered his gun and was beginning to walk the three people back to the rental house when police intervened and arrested him.
He was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail and faces aggravated kidnapping charges.
