(KSL News) -- A teenage driver from Tooele is rushed to the hospital after a morning collision with a semi truck.

It happened on State Road 201 in Tooele near the smelter.
Troopers say traffic had slowed and was backing up, when the teenage driver of the silver car crossed the double-yellow line into oncoming traffic.
He collided with the rear tires of an oncoming semi that had moved to the right to try to avoid a crash.
Troopers don't know if the driver was somehow distracted, or trying to pass.

The teen was last listed in critical condition. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
