SANTAQUIN -- Santaquin police arrested a man who they say broke into a woman's home then passed out on her lawn.

The Deseret News reports a man approached the woman at her home on Monday and asked her for a ride. She said no to the stranger and drove away.

When she returned home four hours later, the same man was passed out on her lawn.

The woman noticed some siding had been pulled off of her house. She also noticed the man apparently had gotten inside and rummaged through the kitchen cabinets.

Police arrived and said the suspect was found with over-the-counter medicine from the woman's home. He told officers he had slept over at the house and some strangers had beat him up.

The suspect, 30-year-old Andrew Nelson, was booked into jail for investigation of burglary, theft and criminal mischief.
