Samantha Hayes reporting Another fire takes a life in Cache Valley. The fire occurred at a mobile home park in Smithfield, Utah, and took the life of a 12 year old girl.

Crews were called to the area at 5:15pm. When crews arrived, the trailer was engulfed in flames, with a 12-year-old girl inside.

Jay Downs, Chief, Smithfield Fire Dept.: “Basically, what they did is made an entry on the south point to the house, breaking the door down, so to speak. They made entry there, they found her there on the floor, and brought her out.”

The girl was rushed to the hospital where she later passed away.

Investigators have not determined a cause yet.

The mobile home park was evacuated for a time during the fire.
