(KSL News) -- Pray you don't need it, but if you do, a new medical helicopter is standing by for emergencies in Utah County.
The new Lifeflight chopper will be stationed at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Previously a chopper had to be dispatched from Salt Lake to cover Utah County trauma and rescue operations.
Hospital officials say this is a big step forward in providing critical care to the area and rural communities as far away as Price.
