BRIGHAM CITY, Utah (AP) -- Family and friends are mourning the death of a 32-year-old man who collapsed while running a 10K race in northern Utah.
William "Ian" Miles collapsed and died on Sept. 12 during the 6.2-mile Peach Days race. Autopsy results haven't yet been released.
Miles waved to his parents as he ran past their Brigham City home. But near the end of the race Miles stopped running, turned pale and collapsed.
Miles' family says he loved to run and appeared to be in perfect health. Doctors told the family his sudden death could have been caused by an undiscovered medical condition.
Miles stopped in Brigham City while transferring with his job to Arizona. His mother, Naomi Miles, says the family is grateful it got to spend his last days with him.
