LOGAN -- One man is in jail and another in the hospital with stab wounds after an argument between a husband and wife got out of control Sunday.

Police say the victim and his wife started fighting at a party near 1600 South and 1300 West in Logan early Sunday morning.

Other family members got involved, and the fight quickly escalated into an all-out brawl.

Officers say 23-year-old Jose Mateo-Trevino pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times in the back.

Trevino has been booked into the Cache County Jail for attempted murder.

Police say the people at the party had been drinking.
