(KSL News) -- A 26-year old mother of three was killed in Washington County, and her ex-boyfriend is suspected of the murder.

Brea Kirchoff was shot Sunday at her apartment in La Verkin. Her young children and 13- year old brother ... witnessed her death.

Kirchoff's ex-boyfriend, Floyd Robinson, borrowed a phone and made an incriminating call later that night.

Shane Snedeger, Witness to Arrest: " He said he needed to call his mother, and on their phone conversation he told her that he had just killed his girlfriend Brea, and that he was going to prison."

Police arrested Robinson on suspicion of aggravated murder. Prosecutors have until Thursday to file formal charges against him.
