(KSL News) -- West Jordan Police are investigating the death of a newborn infant.
An 18-year-old woman gave birth to the child yesterday and thought the child was dead. She took the infant to Pioneer Valley Hospital in West Valley. Doctors there declared the baby dead.
An autopsy will determine when and how the girl died. Investigators will screen the case to see if charges should be filed against the mother.
