Brian Head Lift Operator Killed in Accident

BRIAN HEAD, Utah (AP) -- An employee of the Brian Head Resort was killed Saturday while operating a lift at the resort's Snow Tubing Park.

"We are all stunned by the loss of one of our own in this terrible, tragic accident, said Henry Hornberger, the resort's general manager.

The employee's name has not been released pending notification of relatives.

Details of the accident were not immediately released. The accident remains under investigation by the Brian Head Police Department.

Because of the investigation, the resort's Snow Tubing Park will be closed until further notice.
