(KSL News) Two separate car accidents in the same city leave four people injured in Salt Lake County.
The first crash involved a West Valley City police officer. The officer was driving on 5600 West last night when a red truck pulled out in front of his patrol car.
He swerved to miss it and hit a retaining wall. He was flown to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the truck wasn't hurt.
Minutes earlier, three teenagers were involved in a wreck on 64th West and Highway 201.
Their car was headed east when the front seat passenger grabbed hold of the wheel. The driver jerked it back to gain control, forcing the car into the median.
It rolled into oncoming traffic before landing on the shoulder. Two teens were ejected. The driver was flown to the hospital in critical condition.
Both passengers also sustained injuries.
