SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A 7-year-old boy is recovering after a pit bull attack on Friday.

It happened when the boy was walking home from school with his brother and some friends. When they approached the area of Mead Avenue on Emery, a white pit bull began chasing the kids.

The dog attacked the boy, biting him several times. The boy manage to escape and run into his house.

The white pit bull and a brown pit bull were contained until authorities arrived.

Animal Control took both dogs into custody. The owner has not been located at this time.
