LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- The president of Utah State University has announced a second round of furloughs for school employees.

The announcement was part of Stan Albrecht's State of the University address on Tuesday.

Albrecht says all USU employees will have to take another furlough starting next summer. He says it will save a significant number of jobs from budget cuts ordered by the state Legislature.

The furlough will differ from a five-day forced absence ordered last spring. Employees with higher salaries will take more furlough time. And the pay cut will be spread out over 12 months.
