(KSL News) -- The man who led deputies on a fatal high-speed chase last week in Big Cottonwood Canyon is now out of the hospital and in jail.
On Thursday a deputy spotted Scott Hall and his 16-year old passenger in a car near Guardsman Pass. Hall refused to pull over.The chase ended when Hall crashed his car into a mini-van.
His passenger, Jessica Archer, died.
Authorities are still investigating what the two were doing moments before the chase. Prosecutors have asked for a 48-hour extension, to file charges.
