(KSL News) -- A nasty worm is ready to crawl into your computer and create a mess. It's called the Kelvir worm and its primary target is MSN's instant messenger.

The worm works in two steps. First, computer users click on the link and then the virus installs itself and attacks instantly.

The virus will then IM everyone in your address book with a deceptive message to get them to open it as well.

There is no foolproof way to protect your computer. Norton or McAfee virus protection can help, and experts say using more than one is a good idea.
