PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Charges are filed against a man who allegedly stabbed his estranged wife and killed her boyfriend at a Provo trailer park.
26-year-old Jaime Velasco is charged with capital murder for the slaying of 20-year-old Fernando Barraza and an aggravated attempted murder charge for the stabbing of his wife, 22-year-old Laura Roholt.
He's also charged with two domestic violence in the presence of a child charges, because the couple's two children witnessed the attacks.
Police say following an argument, Velasco stabbed Roholt and Barraza, who died at the scene. Velasco then stabbed himself and drove to the Provo Police Department, where he was arrested.
An arraignment hearing is set for Friday. Bail has been set at 250-thousand-dollars.
