BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Channing Frye and the third-seeded Arizona Wildcats got hot in the second half of a 66-to-53 win over Utah State.

The Wildcats trailed by three points at the break before advancing to the second round of the Chicago regional at Boise. Frye scored 13 of his 17 points after the half and finished with ten rebounds.

Arizona opened the second half on a 16-to-2 run to pull away, one year after blowing a big lead in a first-round loss to Seton Hall. Frye began the spurt with a three-point play.

Salim Stoudamire scored 17 points in Arizona's 28th win of the season.

Jaycee Carroll shot 5-for-10 from three-point range and paced the Aggies with 18 points. Nate Harris was the only other Agie to score in double figures, finishing with 12.
