(KSL News) One person was taken to the hospital after a rollover accident on I-215.

Police say a trailer was going westbound when it hit wet and icy pavement, causing it to go sideways. Three other cars went off the road and hit the trailer.

Police say it appears the driver of the trailer was going too fast.

In another weather-related crash, a tow truck travelling eastbound in Spanish Fork Canyon lost control. It went into oncoming traffic, came back and rolled into the embankment. Hazmat crews were called to make sure diesel and hydraulic fluid don't get into the water supply.

Another crash, this one in Central Utah, sent more than a dozen people to the hospital, one in critical condition.

The Highway Patrol says a van was traveling I-70 in Salina Canyon when it rolled. No word on the cause, but troopers say the roads were covered with snow and ice.

It also appears many of the passengers were illegal immigrants.

Federal immigration officials have been called to investigate.
