SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Fort Duchesne woman accused of beating her grandsons has pleaded guilty.

45-year-old Charlissa Sireech pleaded guilty to seven felony counts of assault against four-year-old Jose and three-year-old Emilio.

In her plea, the woman admitted to fracturing the boys' skulls by slamming them against the floor, bruising their genitals and hitting them with a cane.

The boys were brought to the hospital, Jose in a coma and Emilio with a severe head injury.

Authorities say Sireech beat the boys because she was apparently frustrated by their inability to understand English.

The boys and their younger sister have returned to their paternal grandparents in Palmdale, California.

Sireech's sentencing is set for June 30th. She could face up to 70 years in prison.
