(KSL News) -- A nine-year old boy had a terrifying experience when four neighbor dogs got out and attacked him.
The boy was playing in his own yard when the English bulldogs rushed him and bit him. He was taken to the hospital with foot injuries.
The dogs were breeding pairs so they weren't spayed or neutered. One dog even had a new litter of puppies. Given those conditions, Salt Lake County Animal Services wasn't surprised.
Temma Martin, SL County Animal Services: “So between the season, the hormones, and the puppies, this looked like an accident waiting to happen.”
The two male dogs will be euthanized. The female dogs will be in quarantine until animal services can determine their rabies status. The dog owner may face several charges.
