LAYTON, Utah (AP) -- Police say a man who went on a week-long crime spree was found napping on a church lawn in Layton.
Layton Assistant Police Chief Craig Gibson said, on Wednesday, a resident called police to report a man sleeping on a church lawn.
Gibson said, when officers arrived, the 18-year-old man was asleep with a knife by his side.
Officers say the man had a gym bag with him, containing a video camera. Gibson said the camera was linked to a home burglary in the area.
Police also found keys to a Layton car wash in the bag, which was burglarized last week.
Gibson said he's also a suspect in burglaries at Layton churches over the weekend.
The 18-year-old old was booked in the Davis County Jail and is expected in court today.
