(KSL News) Search and rescue crews battled poor weather to save a fallen skier.
The man was skiiing in the back country up Little Cottonwood Canyon with some friends, when he fell off a 500 foot cliff.
His two friends called for help, but low visibility slowed down the rescue effort. Three hours after crews started a long hike in, the weather cleared enough for a rescue helicopter to reach the accident.
The skier broke several bones.
The other men were treated for exposure. While waiting for help, they lent their warm clothes to their injured friend.
