(KSL News) -- Corrections and law enforcement officers are searching for a missing sex offender.
Leonard Valdez was paroled from the Utah State Prison in 2003, after being convicted of first degree felony rape in 19-91. He was then transferred to a halfway house until March of 2004.
Since then, he has been on house arrest, monitored by an electronic ankle bracelet.
Last weekend, authorities discovered Valdez had cut the bracelet and left him home.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police.
