(KSL News) The Taylorsville man accused of "causing a catastrophe" in Fruit Height will go to trial in August.
Travis Mortensen was the driver of a Flying J butane tanker that crashed and caught fire on Highway 89 in Feburary. Utah Highway Patrol investigators say the truck failed to stop at a red light due to faulty brakes and hit a van.
They say Mortensen knew his brakes were having problems but never fixed them.
More than 15-hundred people were evacuated for 12 hours during the fire.
