AMERICAN FORK, Utah (AP) -- The popular coffee chain Starbucks will soon open it's first store in Utah Valley.
Starbucks will open a new store in American Fork in June.
Coffee shops have historically struggled to stay in business in Utah County, where an estimated 80-percent of the population are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Church members are urged to stay away from caffeine, such as coffee.
Starbucks Spokesman Brad Jones says there are 21-thousand different beverage variations at Starbucks -- and dozens that don't have caffeine.
Jones say the success of Starbucks stores in other Utah locations shows the coffee chain can succeed in Utah County. There are 32 Starbucks stores in Utah.
