PROVO -- Quick thinking neighbors saved a 16-month-old from being run over by a car in Provo.

The boy darted into a neighbor's driveway on Saturday as a car was backing out. Police tell the Salt Lake Tribune the car's axle went over the top of the boy, but neighbors flagged down the driver to stop just in time.

They ran over and lifted the car off the boy.

He had cuts on his face, but no major injuries.
