PROVO -- Ecstatic fans poured onto the streets of Provo Saturday night after BYU beat Oklahoma.
It was an explosion of excitement near Lavell Edwards Stadium after the Cougs beat the Sooners 14 to 13.
The crowd attracted the attention of police, who simply kept fans from getting in the way of traffic.
One fan said, "It's been crazy, you know. We went into this game thinking we were the underdogs. ESPN was saying we had no chance. We got there, we hung tight 'til the last second, and then we took it. We took it! Whoooo!"
BYU will take on Tulane in New Orleans next week.
