Update: The Utah Highway Patrol has located the family of Joseph Dijohn.**Earlier:**

IRON COUNTY -- The Utah Highway Patrol is trying to locate family members of a man who was hit and killed by a car in Iron County early Wednesday morning.

The accident happened just after 2 a.m. on I-15 about 10 miles north of Parowan.

Troopers say 56-year-old Joseph Dijohn was walking on the freeway when he was hit. They believe his death may have been a suicide.

Over the past couple of days, detectives have been unable to locate any family members to inform them of his death. According to the driver license he had on him, he is from Daytona Beach, Fla.

If you have any information on Dijohn or know how to contact his family, the Highway Patrol is asking you to call Cedar dispatch at 801-965-4216 or 435-590-8081.
