SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A Salt Lake County man accused of defrauding clients while unlawfully practicing as an accountant has been ordered to pay restitution.
A judge ordered 48-year-old Val Dean Gibson to pay more than 187-thousand dollars in restitution.
Gibson was placed on probation back in December after he pleaded guilty to four felonies in connection with fraud and tax evasion.
Gibson admitted he represented himself as having a C-P-A license, even though his license lapsed in 2000.
