(KSL News) -- New information tonight on the suspect in a violent carjacking in Taylorsville.
According to police, about a month ago 16-year old Nam Lee stole a car and escaped from a youth corrections center where he was serving a sentence.
Police spotted him yesterday and chased him on foot. Lee hijacked a couple's car at gunpoint and sped away. They haven't seen him since.
Lt. Del Craig, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Dept.: "We know he's been involved in some thefts, some shootings, we know he's armed and dangerous. We're concerned about finding him in a hurry."
Police found the hijacked Cadillac abandoned in Murray, but there was no sign of Lee. They believe he might be getting help from members of a gang.
