(KSL News) -- The new owner of Karl Malone's mansion says he never expected to win the bid.
Malone's agent Dwight Manley bought the house for 2.5 million dollars yesterday through an absolute auction.
Manley says he just bid for sport and is in shock about what he paid, especially since the home had been listed at 6.1 million dollars.
Manley has talked to to Malone since the auction, but wanted to keep the conversation private, saying only that he feels bad for Malone.
He isn't sure yet what he'll do with the home.
