(KSL News) -- Investigators say alcohol likely played a part in the drowning of an Orem man in Big Cottonwood Creek.

Search crews recovered the body of James Barksdale near the Mill B Trailhead last night.

Barksdale and a friend were seen in the creek before Barksdale was swept away.

The power of the current forced him under a waterfall for several hours.

Four people have died in Utah creeks in the last ten days.
