WEBER COUNTY -- One person is dead and two others are in critical condition Monday after their motor home rolled on the Powder Mountain Road.
The Weber County Sheriff's Office says the motor home was pulling a 24-foot trailer as it headed down from the resort on State Route 158. Deputies believe the coach lost its brakes and couldn't manage the turn going down the hill. It went off the road and rolled at least twice.
One passenger died at the scene. The driver and other passenger were flown to the hospital in critical condition.
Deputies say the motor home was one of several vehicles that may have had braking problems while returning from a motocross event.
Lt. Philip Powell said, "We've had deputies up and down the road today because of complaints of people that aren't familiar with the roadway about losing their brakes."
