Paul Nelson Reporting How are parents reacting to the proposed high school boundary changes in Davis County?

It took roughly two hours for the Davis County School Board to decide that they'll vote on the proposed boundaries later. Some parents say they're happy with the changes, but they seem to be in the minority.

Concerned Parent: "It pulls the kids out of the community. That's our big issue."

Concerned Parent: "You have kids that have been rivals that don't even know each other."

Concerned Parent: "Call me jaded, but, I don't have confidence in the school board at all."

Davisparents.org Spokesman Randy Smith says the district ignored public input.

Randy Smith: "There is absolutely no reason to do the south at this point. It was the very same plan they've now presented twice before."

But he says he is happy with the changes they're proposing to the north end of the district.

The final decision could come January 16th.
