(KSL News and AP) -- The only remaining defendant in the slaying of a St. George woman was in court today.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled today for 27-year-old Jack Daniel Brown. He's accused in the shooting death of 20-year-old Trisha Stubbs last January near Toquerville.

Court documents allege Stubbs was beaten, bound and killed because she knew something incriminating about Brown.
Two people, including Jensen, have already pleaded guilty to kidnapping charges in connection with the death. In exchange, they agreed to testify against Brown.
Witnesses recounted the last moments in the life of Trisha Stubbs today as a judge decided if the man accused of killing her should stand trial.
Kyle Sheldon Jensen told the court he saw Jack Daniel Brown shoot and kill Stubbs. He said Brown was angry that Stubbs had talked to police about other criminal activity.
Stubbs' body was found near Toquerville Falls last January.
Today's hearing will continue tomorrow and Friday.
Brown is charged with capital murder, aggravated kidnapping and obstruction of justice.
