SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The part of Interstate 80 shut down earlier this week due to a crumbling bridge is back up tonight.

Utah Department of Transportation officials say the two closed eastbound lanes between 700 East and 1300 East in Salt Lake City should be open just in time for tonight's evening commute.

The lanes were closed Monday night after crews found a piece of concrete on Highland Drive that had fallen from the freeway overpass.

The department's spokesman Brent Wilhite said crews will spend the day paving and if everything goes O-K, the lanes will be open tonight.

But until then, three onramps will remain closed. They include southbound I-15 to eastbound I-80 and State Street and 700 East to eastbound I-80.
